It took me all too many years to understand why certain words, including potty language, are inappropriate – to the human race. When the priest holds high the Book from which he will read the gospel, that Book, full of words, is God talking to the human race. There is no “certain words” or potty language in it; every word is directly from Him. In addition, “certain words”, potty language, and the like degrade our humanity. (This degradation is especially rampant in many of today’s movies.) Thus will I avoid “certain words” and potty language.
An imaginative statement is made for each of the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary. This imaginative statement is sandwiched between Biblical statements and highlights the kind of thinking that might take place in a proud mind. The last paragraph is a brief mediation on the Mystery.
