Be Careful What You Wish For…Be Very Careful

In The Problem of Pain, C.S. Lewis spoke to those who argue against the doctrine of hell:

In the long run the answer to all those who object to the doctrine of hell is itself a question:

“What are you asking God to do?”

  1. To wipe out your past sins, and at all costs, to give you a fresh start, offering every miraculous help? “He has done so, on Calvary.”
  2. Do you want Him to forgive you? “He has offered forgiveness in Christ.”
  3. Do you want Him to leave you alone? “Alas,” wrote Lewis, “I am afraid that is what He does.”purgatory_008

It is NOT Possible…

…to be an authentic Christian, and even less so to be an authentic Catholic, and vote Democratic. This party’s policies are against God in every area starting, of course, with the murdering of babies. But it doesn’t stop there. The second biggest problem is their burning desire to remove all God-given liberties from you. The third biggest problem is a refusal to recognize that, as politicians, leaders, etc. they are in that position due to God’s will. Used to be one would hear about how such people should model their behavior accordingly but no more; after all, they ARE God. This post could go on and on exposing the anti-God views of the Democratic Party. It’s up to you to add to this in the comments.

Connecting Dots

The difference between commentary and interpretation.

Because this category contains ideas, opinions, thoughts, it is necessary to be clear that they are not interpretations but simply comments. Interpretation means to explain, elucidate, tell the meaning of, etc. Commentary means, quite simply, expression of opinion. Dictionary definitions will often interweave the two; so, for clarity, Connecting Dots is simply commentary period.
